Emma & Sean's Wedding at Ballymagarvey Village, Co. Meath

Emma & Sean's Wedding at Ballymagarvey Village, Co. Meath

The perfect timing.

A lot of couples have postponed their big day three or four times due to restrictions. Emma & Sean booked me long before the pandemic erupted and caused chaos within all industries, dare I say affecting the hospitality industry the most, which, in turn, left the wedding industry including couples and suppliers rescheduling, restructuring and pivoting at the jump of a hat every time the rules changed. A whole global pandemic came to rise and then settled down in the time period (over two years) since Emma & Sean booked me for their Wedding day!

What a dream it was to have the grounds of Ballymagarvey Village as the backdrop.

The Planning.

From the first meeting with Emma & Sean I could see that they had the perfect day planned out in their minds, how wonderful it was to see this come to life on the day, I mean, how could they go wrong when they chose Ballymagarvey Village as their venue? The privacy of the grounds, beautiful buildings, gardens, streams and not forgetting all of the Christmas decorations and lights. Everything that was inside the ceremony and reception room was just amazing, the outside was just as beautiful, presenting endless opportunities for photographs.

The timing of the ceremony was absolutely brilliant, it finished up just at the “Twilight Hour”. - Ideal lighting for the photographs.

Everything happened seamlessly and without anyone breaking a sweat, the whole day was so relaxed.

The girls had the perfect choice of color.

The People.

When it came around to photographing the Bridal Party and Emma & Sean’s family, they were amazingly organized, it was chilly outside so we got the group photos done first, endless backdrops present themselves at this hour of the day when the lights turn on, I then focused on the lovely couple themselves.

We walked the entire grounds, stopping at about ten different locations for photos, we finsihed up just in time to give Emma & Sean some time together on their own when everyone else was making their way to the room for dinner. I like to remind the couple to take some time to themselves at this stage of the day.

At this stage I had dinner myself, thanks again to both Emma & Sean for looking after me, the room and atmostphere led to even more great photos of guests and family.

The Party.

To finish off the night the cake was cut with a big cheer from all present, dancing had begun and what a night of dancing it was, serious moves! Catch 22 played a stormer, everyone paid a visit to the dance floor at some point or other!

Ballymagarvey Village offers the perfect intimate setting for family and freinds.

Final Words.

I would like to thank both Emma & Sean for choosing me to photograph their Wedding, what an absolute pleasure it was working with you and your families. Thanks also to the Managment & Staff at Ballymagarvey Village for all of the amazing work behind the scenes that makes everyones day flow that much smoother, enabling all suppliers to deliver the quality of work we strive for.
